When decorating your home, the right placement can completely change the way your artwork looks. Think about proportions, wall height, and how your furniture interacts with the art.
Here are three wall art framing tips to guide you:
Above Furniture – Hang your print so the bottom edge sits about 6–8 inches above the sofa, bed, or console. This keeps the artwork connected to the furniture without feeling too low.
At Eye Level – For standalone walls, place the center of your print around 57–60 inches from the floor, which is the average eye level.
Balance the Space – In larger rooms or gallery walls, align multiple frames so they create a visual balance, either horizontally or vertically.
By following these simple steps, you’ll make sure your wall art feels intentional, balanced, and harmonious in any space.
